Second man accused of Carlisle stores theft plot

A second man has been charged with conspiring to steal from Carlisle convenience shops.

John Paul Wallis, 38, is accused of plotting to target Foreways stores in Warwick Road, Newlaithes Avenue in Morton, and Blackwell Road in Currock, and the Spar on Scotland Road.

Wallis, of Akeld Mews, Sunderland, was due to appear before Carlisle Magistrates Court today.

Last week John Joseph Carney, 41, of Sunderland, was remanded in custody until September 17.
