Scaffold plunge man taken to Carlisle hospital

A man has been taken to hospital with back injuries after falling from scaffolding in a Cumbrian town.

An air ambulance was called to The Crescent, Highmoor, Wigton, at 10.15am but was not required.

The patient was taken by land ambulance to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
