Rapper Professor Green takes to Twitter to find Lake District retreat
Last updated at 12:41, Friday, 12 October 2012
Rapping and the Lake District may not go hand-in-hand – with the exception of the Wordsworth Rap – but that may all be about to change.
Rapper Professor Green took to Twitter yesterday to ask for suggestions on where to stay.
He wrote: “If I wanna rent a cottage in the Lake District where should I be looking? Somewhere nice and remote with lots of green(ery).”
Professor Green was inundated with suggestions. Alongside the PR companies who tried to divert the rapper towards their websites, the most commonly suggested locations included the Borrowdale Valley and Penrith.
The Wordsworth Rap was put together by Cumbria Tourism in 2007 as a promotional stunt and performed by MC Nuts.
