Police probe into unprovoked attack on Carlisle street

A Carlisle teenager has been subjected to what police say was an unprovoked attack in the London Road area on Monday, January 21.

The 15-year-old was allegedly kicked by an unknown man at 10.15pm, close to the Harraby Inn. The teenager escaped without being injured.

The attacker – described as “very aggressive” – is described as tall and skinny, in his mid-twenties, and he was wearing a black Helly Hansen jacket with blue writing on it.

Police want to trace witnesses who can help their investigation. They include a passing cyclist and a person in a nearby car who saw the incident.

Officers are particularly keen to speak to a woman who was with the attacker. She was wearing a jacket with a squares pattern and a furry hod. Anybody who can help the investigation should contact PC Stuart Mitchellhill on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
