Police probe Carlisle sex attack claim

Police are investigating an alleged serious sex assault on a woman in Carlisle.
The 21-year-old claimed to have been attacked at the back of the Tesco store, near the Blackfriars Street area.
The attacker was described as being of big build with a bald head and wearing a blue and white checked shirt and blue jeans.
Anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area at about midnight on Tuesday has been urged to call Carlisle CID on 101.
A 33-year-old Carlisle man has been arrested and is helping police with their inquiries.
