Police issue appeal after retired race horse stolen

A retired thoroughbred racehorse has been stolen from a Cumbrian field.

The cheeky thief took the horse out of its stable and led it from  its paddock in the Moor Row area of west Cumbria.

It happened between 8pm Saturday 7.45am Sunday.

Dark brown in colour, and worth around £2,000, the mare has a distinctive white patch on its leg near the rear left hoof.

Anybody who can help the police investigation should contact PC Nicola Holt via the 101 non emergency police number. Alternatively, call Crimestopppers anonymously if necessary on 0800 555 111.
