Police appeal after officer hurt in north Cumbria crash

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward after an officer was hurt in a road crash.

The officer, who was in a force van, sustained minor injuries in the collision, which also involved a Ford pick-up.

It happened in Silloth just after 10.30am on Saturday.

The officer received medical treatment at the scene and did not need to go to hospital.

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
