Police appeal after man hurt in Carlisle hit and run

A man suffered a broken ankle in a hit and run on a Carlisle street.
The 30-year-old was walking at Chatsworth Square when he was struck by a car at about 9pm on Monday.
The silver coloured estate failed to stop, say police.
Officers believe several other motorists may have seen the collision and have urged them to call 101.
