Police appeal after car drivers attacked in Carlisle

The drivers and passengers of two cars were injured in separate attacks in Carlisle, police say.

A red car was parked on Blackwell Road, near Montreal Street, in Currock at 7.40pm on Sunday.

At the same time a silver car was parked near the junction of Mason Street with Blackwell Road.

The occupants of both vehicles were assaulted and suffered minor injuries.

The red car was also damaged during the incident.

Anyone who saw the attacks should call police on 101.
