CCTV captures moment Cumbrian man hurt in Brazil hit and run

A north Cumbrian man is in hospital in Brazil after being hit by a motorcycle.

Mark Fisher was hurt in Belo Horizonte

Mark Fisher, 25, of Penrith, was crossing the road in the World Cup host city of Belo Horizonte.

He was initially said to have suffered bruising and a fractured tooth.

Subsequent - as yet unconfirmed - reports say he suffered a broken arm, and serious injuries to his face.

He was said to be in a stable condition in hospital.

A police department spokesman said the rider fled the scene.

Mr Fisher had been in Belo Horizonte to watch England play Costa Rica on Tuesday.
