New leader wanted for Keswick Convention

A bible-teaching convention that has existed for more than 125 years is searching for a new leader.

The Keswick Convention, which has previously been led by volunteer trustees, seeks a new head as part of a development strategy.

The full-time role of chief executive will be responsible for leading the ministry, developing the use of the sites across the town most effectively, and exploring partnerships with other agencies.

The convention has grown steadily and is attended by up to 15,000 people each summer, with active links to other events worldwide.

Chairman John Risbridger said: “The convention is at a significant point in its history and development.

“The trustees have created a new and exciting leadership opportunity for a chief executive to help shape and grow this strategic minister for the future, under God’s leading.”

This year the convention will be aiming its third week at people who are not Christians, as well as those who are.

The theme of the event is ‘searching for reality in a confusing world’ and will explore some of the big questions of life.

The convention runs from July 12 until August 1, 2014. For more information go to www.keswickministries.org.
