New deputy leader for Cumbria council

Pat Bell (Penrith East), the new leader of the Liberal Democrat group, has been appointed deputy leader of Cumbria County Council.

It follows the death in July of deputy Jo Stephenson.

Lib Dem John McCreesh (Kendal Strickland and Fell) has been appointed to the council's Cabinet.
