Murder arrest after woman found dead in Cumbria

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead.

At about 9.45am yesterday (Sunday), police were notified that a woman in her twenties had been found dead in a building on Napier Street, Barrow.

She was today named as Rebecca Carmella Marvin, aged 25, of Barrow.

Her death is being treated as unexplained and police are investigating.

A 68-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is assisting detectives.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Cumbria police on 101.
