Police are investigating a crash which left a motorcyclist with "life-changing" injuries.

The motorbike was heading north on the A595 at about 9.50pm on Friday, when his green Yamaha motorbike was involved in a collision with a dark-coloured Ford Fiesta.

The car was turning right off the A595 at the Wigton Street crossroads, heading towards Wigton, when the crash happened.

The car driver was uninjured.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision to call Cumbria Police on 101.
