Missing woman found safe and well

A missing woman who prompted an urgent police appeal has been found safe and well.

Alex Solawa, 49, of Penrith, went missing this morning at Ullswater and officers said they were concerned for her welfare.

Anyone who was in the lake area and saw a woman matching that description was asked to call police.

She was found by officers in Penrith this afternoon.
