Missing man's body found in north Cumbrian wood

The body of a man missing from his home in Derbyshire has been found in a north Cumbrian wood.

Steven Rowland, of Swadlincote, had been reported missing on Friday and an extensive search began.

He was thought to be in Northumberland and police in Scotland, Northumbria and Cumbria, together with members of his family, continued the search throughout Saturday, when his van was found just over the Scottish border.

Mr Rowland's body was discovered yesterday afternoon in Kershope Forest.

New law allows police to stop drivers and test for the influence of drugs. Will it work?

It must. Drug-driving, like drink-driving, is a killer

How can it? New law keeps giving police more to do, while police numbers are being cut. Madness!

There's no evidence of law preventing use of mobile phones in cars working, so why would it?
