Missing Cumbrian girl found safe and well

A missing teenage girl who prompted an urgent police appeal has been found safe and well.

Courtney Leigh Ireland, 15, of Workington, who had not been seen since 8.45am yesterday, was located this morning in the Egremont area. 

She had last been seen at home and was thought to be about to catch the bus to school but never arrived there.

Police, who had said they were concerned for her welfare, had urged Courtney or anyone who knew where she was to contact them.
