Man trapped in car after crash on main north Cumbrian road

A man was trapped in his car after a one vehicle crash on the A595 at Mealsgate.
The man was driving a Vauxhall Astra when the crash happened at 11.33am, near to Jacksons garage.
Police said the driver was conscious and breathing but trapped inside his car.
Emergency services were sent to the scene.
Police warned that motorists may face delays as traffic was slow moving. The road was fully reopened shortly after 12.30pm.
