Andrew William Telford Coates, 41, of Buttermere Drive, Kendal, was killed together with Polly Sarah Connor, 46, of Sepulchre Lane, Kendal, at the weekend.

They died following an explosion and blaze at Ecclerigg, near Windermere, on Saturday.

They had been helping to stage a fireworks display at the wedding party of local insurance boss John Simpson and his bride, Nicole.

The fire is not being treated as suspicious but the police, fire service and other agencies are working to establish the circumstances and cause.

A tribute to Mrs Connor was paid by her mother earlier this week.
