Man in court accused of threatening to kill woman

A man from west Cumbria has been remanded in custody accused of threatening to kill a woman after an alleged sex assault.

Sean Park, 38, of Gameriggs Road, Whitehaven, was arrested after the alleged incident on March 24.

He pleaded not guilty to charges of sexual assault by penetration, making a threat to kill and causing actual bodily harm when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court.

He was remanded in custody and will go on trial in Carlisle on October 27.

Park will be back in court for an administrative hearing on July 16.
