Man had 'extreme' animal porn photos, Carlisle court told

A man is to go on trial accused of downloading hundreds of pornographic pictures from the internet.

Among 30-year-old Nicky Horsfall's collection are alleged to have been 86 images of extreme pornography involving humans with animals.

At Carlisle Crown Court today, Horsfall, of Hillcrest, Northside, Workington, pleaded not guilty to nine charges of making indecent images of children.

These charges allegedly involved a total of nearly 500 pictures of children under 13, including 24 of levels four and five - the two most serious categories on the official scale.

He also denied two charges of possessing extreme pornography, pictures said to be "grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an indecent character", showing people having sex with dogs, pigs and horses.

Horsfall was remanded in custody until the week of July 21, when he will go on trial.
