Man dies in Lake District

A man has died after being found by walkers at Elterwater in the Great Langdale Valley.
The alarm was raised at 1.24pm yesterday when the 54-year-old man, from the Wigan area, was found by walkers who tried to resuscitate him.
He was airlifted to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle but died.
