Man arrested after stolen car crash in west Cumbria

A 25-year-old man has been arrested after a stolen car crashed into parked vehicles in Workington last night.

It happened on Mason Street at 7.05pm.

The dark Vauxhall car had been stolen from a property on the street just prior to crashing into two parked cars.

The occupants then fled the scene.

A man from Workington has been arrested in connection with the incident but police believe there was more than one person involved.

They are appealing for witnesses to call them on 101.
