A man has been arrested after a woman was attacked while putting her young grand-daughter into a car.

The 58-year-old, from the Cockermouth area, was helping the 14-month-old into the vehicle when she was assaulted.

She was knocked forward into the car and then pulled out before being kicked in the head and back.

She suffered bruising to her body as a result of the unprovoked assault on Keir Hardie Avenue, Cleator Moor, at 8.20pm on Saturday.

A 26-year-old man from Cleator Moor has been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm and is helping the police with their enquiries.

Anyone who saw the attack or has information about it, should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

How far would you trust any TripAdvisor or online review when booking accommodation?

Not far. Always suspect honestly critical reviews are discouraged.

With no way of checking any glowing online review is independent, users beware.

I use them all the time and find them very helpful.
