Man, 28, charged over attack outside Cumbrian pub

A Whitehaven man will appear before Carlisle Crown Court following an incident outside a town centre pub which left a man with serious facial injuries.

Martin Thompson, of Patterdale Avenue, is charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent and assaulting a person causing actual bodily harm outside of Cap’n Senny’s last November.

The 28-year-old appeared at West Cumbria Magistrates’ Court where his case was committed to the Crown Court, to be heard on March 31.

No plea was entered.
