Cumbria Police are investigating
A young woman had to go to hospital with minor injuries after she was assaulted.
The woman suffered injuries including cuts and bruises and went to the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, for treatment after the assault.
The incident involved another young woman and happened at about 7.30pm on Friday.
Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to contact PC 2223 Golbourn on 101.
