Police have named the 25-year-old woman who died in a tragic collision on one of Cumbria's main country roads.
Rebecca Quail, from Penrith, was killed in a crash on the A6, south of Shap, on Wednesday.
She was driving the Citroen car which was involved in a collision with a trailer carrying a mini digger at about 8.30am.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were on the scene but despite the best efforts of paramedics, Rebecca, known as Becca, died at the scene.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened, and is yet to come forward, to contact Cumbria Police on 101 quoting incident number 33 of March 15 2017.
