A woman assaulted police officers and made abusive 999 calls after going suddenly off the rails.
Tanya Butler, 37, had been a law-abiding citizen until earlier this year. But over several weeks she committed a raft of crimes during three separate incidents in and around Carlisle.
Today she was sentenced at the city's crown court having admitted 12 charges.
These included dangerous driving, two police assaults and aggravated vehicle taking on March 22; resisting an officer and making offensive 999 calls in early April; and shoplifting on May 20.
Judge Barbara Forrester heard mitigation and considered background information which included a psychiatric report.
Butler, of Raffles Avenue, Carlisle, was given an eight-month prison sentence which was suspended for two years.
She must complete a rehabilitation requirement, 120 hours' unpaid work and was made subject to a 12-month mental health treatment requirement.
Judge Forrester also imposed a 12-month driving ban.
