Woman injured during early morning assault
A woman suffered injuries to her hand and back during an assault in Carlisle city centre.
The attack happened in the early hours of Sunday morning at the junction of West Walls and Castle Way, near to the Millenium Bridge.
The 34-year-old victim's handbag is also missing. It is a black leather bag with a long gold strap and it contained a purse, house keys and some lipstick.
Police want anyone who was in that area between midnight and 3am to get in touch with them on 101.
