A family had a miraculous escape after their car overturned on a road near Carlisle earlier today.
The B5307 near Moorhouse was closed for about an hour as police dealt with the crash, which saw a blue Ford Focus car overturn and land on its roof at the side of the road.
The driver was a 27-year-old woman from Carlisle.
In the car with her were an eight-year-old and a three-year-old.
All were taken to The Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle to be checked over but none were seriously hurt.
The three had all managed to escape from the car before police arrived. Motorists were advised to avoid the area while the car was recovered.
