An elderly woman taken to hospital after a car hit the wall of a house in Appleby is still in hospital.
The 84-year-old woman was trapped in the back seat of the car.
She had to be cut free by firefighters and was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The crash happened in Doomgate, just before 10.40am yesterday.
The car - a Range Rover driven by an 86-year-old man from Halifax - hit a wall, which was feared to be structurally unsafe.
An 84-year-old man, who was a front seat passenger, and another woman, also in her eighties and travelling in the back of the car, suffered minor injuries and were also taken to hospital.
