Two West Cumbrians made their debut in reality TV show Coach Trip: Road to Marbs tonight.

Calvin Davidson, originally from Bransty, and Adam Fearon, of Maryport, took to the screen in the E4 remake of the Channel 4 favourite.

The former St Benedict’s pupil and his friend Conrad Williams survived the first vote with no contestants picking them as their least favourite pair.

Calvin, who also appears as an extra in the new Trainspotting film, introduced himself and his partner as the “kings of banter” as the show kicked off in Mallorca.

The contestants were challenged to a pole dancing task to begin their trip before visiting a water park to get to know each other better.

Montrose-based Calvin, 30, is a two-time winner of Mr Scotland while his friend Conrad is currently Mr British Isles.

Coach Trip passengers, led by guide Brendan Sheerin, sees each pair vote daily on which participants they don’t enjoy travelling with.

The pair with the most votes is shown a yellow card and two yellow cards mean they are kicked off the coach.

Adam, 23, who works at the Vodafone shops in Workington and Whitehaven, appeared with best friend Dhillan Bhardwaj, 20, a young millionaire who founded the Ratchet Clothing Company.

They survived the first round vote despite one pair ruling against them.

Adam took to the pole dancing task, with his performance described as “outrageous” by fellow contestants.

After the pole dancing, the participants visited a water park to get to know each other better.

Dhillan finished the show by arguing with another contestant, Olivia, who is sister to Made in Chelsea’s Francesca Newman-Young.

Speaking before the show aired, Adam said: “I am not allowed to say how long we remained on it but I can tell you that the whole trip was a laugh.

“We really enjoyed meeting the other passengers although I think some of them thought we were quite catty when we were just being honest.”
