Motorists are being warned to drive carefully on Cumbria's roads after reports of accidents because of ice this morning.
Police have received reports of incidents as a result of the ice, including:
* At around 7am a Fiat 500 became stuck on the ice on Hardknott Pass, near Wasdale, and is blocking the road. The driver was not injured.
* At around 8am a lorry slid on the ice on Whinlatter Pass. The lorry is blocking the road. The driver was not injured.
A spokeswoman said: "Police would urge drivers to plan their journeys accordingly and to only travel along a route appropriate to the conditions."
