Two people needed hospital treatment after a rush hour crash.

Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses to the two-vehicle collision which happened on the A75 - at its junction with the slip road leading to the B6357 Annan bypass junction - at about 4.30pm yesterday.

It involved a grey-coloured Seat Ibiza car, being driven by a 77-year-old man from Kirkpatrick Fleming, and a grey-coloured Landrover Freelander being driven by a 30-year-old Annan woman.

Both vehicles were damaged.

The driver of the Seat and his passenger, a 52-year-old man also from Kirkpatrick Fleming, were taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary where they were treated for bruising and cracked ribs.

Neither the driver nor any of the three occupants in the Landrover were injured.

Constable Ryan McGarvey said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who may have been at or near this junction on the A75 when the crash happened, and would like them to get in touch with us through 101 if they witnessed what happened."
