Rush hour traffic was being held up in Carlisle city centre after a car crash.
Police and firefighters were called to the crash on the busy A69 Victoria Place just before 5pm. The accident happened at the junction of Victoria Place and Hartington Street in Carlisle city centre.
A spokesman from the fire service said they made the area safe.
Traffic has now returned to normal.
