A man who attacked a rival west Cumbria gang member with a metal wheel brace has been jailed for 18 months.
Daniel Weaver, 21, struck Angus Arthur on the head five times with the eight-inch long weapon at Workington in April.
Mr Arthur was left with two wounds, one of which was described as being "relatively deep".
Carlisle Crown Court heard the background to the trouble was a feud between the rival Mandem and Moorclose gangs in and around the town.
Weaver, of Senhouse Street, Siddick, Workington, was sentenced having admitted charges of wounding and possession of an offensive weapon.
He was given an immediate prison term by Recorder Kevin Grice.
"What you did was quite outrageous," Recorder Grice added.
