A motorcyclist has died in a crash in Cumbria.
It happened on the A6 at Shap, near the junction with the B6261.
Emergency services were called at 9.40am.
Police have confirmed that a 57-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved.
A section of the A6 was closed for several hours following the crash but has now reopened.
Police said the man was from outside the county.
The biker's immediate family have been informed but he has yet to be formally identified.
