CUMBRIA police are again warning of a telephone scam after another person in the county was targeted.
The woman received two calls, at 11am on May 19 and again at 2pm yesterday. She didn't answer but received voicemails from someone claiming to be from HMRC Revenue and Customs.
The caller, who said they were called Heather Gray, said they needed to take urgent action over unpaid taxes or they would be taking legal action.
The victim realised it was a scam after reading press reports about a similar incident involving a man from Carlisle.
Police have confirmed it is a scam and are warning the public to be aware of it. The number used by the caller was 0161 354 7069. Officers say nobody should ring this number back.
