A MAN has been told he must sign the sex offenders' register after admitting child porn crimes.
James Edward Morrison, 37, appeared at Carlisle Crown Court today.
Morrison pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent photographs of a child, and admitted one possession offence.
The court heard he had made 14 images classed as being category A - the most serious.
Six pictures and videos were classed in category B, while 5,580 category C photos and movies were said to be category C.
The offences are said to have been committed between February, 2012, and April last year.
Morrison's case was adjourned after Judge Barbara Forrester asked for the preparation of background information about the defendant.
Morrison, of Salkeld Road, Penrith, was bailed by Judge Forrester.
He is due to be sentenced at the crown court on March 23.
