A man missing from Carlisle has been found following a major search operation.
A helicopter, search dogs and mountain rescue volunteers were called in to help with the hunt.
Police has said they were growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of disabled Adrian Stewart Currie, 51, who had been missing from his home in Sewell Road, Currock, since Friday morning.
But following the high-level search, Mr Currie was located last night.
A spokesman said: "Cumbria Police can confirm that they have found Mr Currie, who is now safe."
At one stage officers were appealing to residents in the Brisco Road area of Upperby to check their gardens and outbuildings following a possible sighting of Mr Currie, who struggles to walk long distances.
Officers were also carrying out house-to-house visits in Brisco Road and Brisco village and a police helicopter was circulating around the area for a large part of Saturday.
