Wet Wet Wet frontman Marti Pellow has announced he will be heading to Cumbria as part of his 10-date Mysterious Tour.

The pop icon will take to the stage at The Sands in Carlisle next year, as part of his UK tour.

He will perform in the city on Wednesday, March 15, kicking off the tour before he heads off to venues including Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham and London.

Tickets cost from £39.50 and go on sale at 9am on Friday September 2 .

The tour will coincide with Marti’s new album Mysterious , which will be released in March 2017.

He said: "I’m coming out with my full band and horns for the first time in over a decade – and I can’t wait to tear your playhouse down."

The solo tour comes on the back of a 16-date arena tour with Wet Wet Wet.
