A man's jaw was broken in an attack that started inside a nightclub.

The victim was assaulted outside The Warehouse in Burrowgate, Penrith, early last Sunday morning.

Cumbria police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which took place at about 1.15am.

The victim, in his early 20s, was approached by his attacker inside the club before being pulled outside and punched in the face.

Officers have appealed for witnesses or anyone who can help with their inquiries to come forward.
