Broad Street in Carlisle
A man has sustained head injuries during an assault in Carlisle.
Police are investigating reports that it took place on the junction of Broad Street and Warwick Road shortly before 10pm last night.
Officers are interested in speaking to a couple who may have been present at the incident.
The male is described as stocky with a bald head and wearing a red checked shirt and black jeans.
The female has brown hair, which was tied up, and she was wearing a blue and white jacket, blue jeans and a black top.
