A WEST Cumbrian man is due to be sentenced by a judge next month for assaulting and harassing a woman.
Liam McGoldrick, 29, appeared before Recorder Kevin Grice at Carlisle Crown Court today.
He pleaded guilty to a common assault on Rachel Holm between May 15 and 18 last year.
At a previous court hearing he admitted harassing Miss Holm by sending a handwritten letter, along with unwanted text and private Facebook messages.
Recorder Grice adjourned the case for the probation service to prepare a background report on McGoldrick, of Bowness Road, Greenbank, Whitehaven.
McGoldrick is set to be sentenced at the crown court on September 15 and was bailed in the meantime. A condition of his bail is that he must not contact Miss Holm in any way.
