A man has appeared in court and denied trying to rape a child.
Mohammed Aziz, of Goldfinch Street, Preston, 38, faced three charges when he appeared before a judge at Carlisle Crown Court yesterday.
He denied attempting to rape a child aged under 13 and two charges of sexually assaulting a child.
All three counts relate to alleged incidents which are said to have occurred in the Penrith area between 2010 and 2012.
Aziz was released on conditional bail ahead of his trial in August.
