A MAN had to be cut from a car after it hit a tree.
It happened just after midnight on the A595, at Orton Grange.
Crews from Carlisle used specialist cutting equipment to free him.
Both the man, who was driving, and his female passenger needed medical attention.
Police closed the road from the Orton Grange roundabout while they dealt with the incident.
