A MAN has admitted a string of child sex crimes, including some in Carlisle.
Mathew Stephen Long, 20, must sign the sex offenders' register with immediate effect after he pleaded guilty to eight offences at Carlisle Crown Court today.
These were seven counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child, and one offence of meeting a child following sexual grooming.
The victim is said to be a 13-year-old girl.
Judge Barbara Forrester adjourned the case and directed that background information should be prepared ahead of the sentencing hearing on August 8.
Long, of Timberscombe Close, Ingleby Barwick, Stockton-on-Tees, was remanded on conditional bail.
