A man will be sentenced next month after he admitted stabbing a teenage girl.
Adrian Mark Fallows, 39, had previously stood accused of attempting to murder the 15-year-old female during an incident which occurred on June 1 at Barepot, near Workington.
At Carlisle Crown Court today, Fallows denied a charge of attempted murder having also done so at a previous hearing.
But he pleaded guilty to unlawfully and maliciously causing the girl grievous bodily harm with intent to do so.
He also admitted assaulting another teenage female by beating in relation to the same incident.
Judge Peter Davies heard Fallows had admitted the two offences on the full facts of the prosecution case.
No details about his attacks on the two girls were outlined during a hearing which lasted just seven minutes.
Fallows appeared in court over a video link from HMP Frankland, County Durham.
Judge Davies adjourned the case, and told Fallows, of Jodrell Street, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, he would be sentenced at the crown court on November 4.
He was remanded in custody.
