A man has suffered facial injuries following an unprovoked attack in west Cumbria.
The 38-year-old was attacked while he walking in Crowgarth Close.
Police say he was approached from behind by two strangers who punched him in the face and chest.
Reports state they only stopped when a red vehicle came to a stop beside them.
They ran off towards Cleator Moor Square.
The attack happened at around 8.35pm on May 31.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to call PC Treymaine on 101.
