Police have charged a 23-year-old man with a racially-aggravated public order offence following a Carlisle United match.
Steven Ryan Bell, of Thomas Street, Carlisle, was arrested following the team's match against Grimsby Town on January 2.
Bell has been bailed to attend North Cumbria Magistrates’ Court, in the city's Rickergate, on March 23.
After the match, police said that the alleged abuse was directed towards security staff in the Paddock in front of the A stand. The match ended in a 3-1 defeat for the Blues.
